Your frame numbers are 3M3.

Yamaha records class these as RD250G Daytonas not RD250F

Our registration card show RD250F...

there also some dicrepancies
for YAMAHA RXK135 Japan Spec = 1M1
but for South east Asia include Msia = 4Y2

There is a lot of confusion, world wide, about numbers and model designations, the only thing that matters is the frame and engine number.
Your bike is an RD250F, this you already know, in Europe the RD250F looked like this.

RD250F

In 1977 USA magazine Cycle World tested the New RD400E but in Europe we knew the bike as the RD400D, but it had a different paint scheme so was not the same anyway!

Can you tell me the next few numbers on your frame number please.

I take my information from Yamaha's own production line records. The later part of the number will tell me which market the bike was made for.

3M3 makes it an F in some markets but not in all.
